Mobile Tyre Fitting Hereford – Tyres Brought to Your Door, Yard or Verge
Herefordshire isn’t the easiest county to lose a tyre in. Have one go on a back lane out towards Withington and the nearest fitting bay is a drive you can’t safely make. That’s the gap we fill. Our Hereford vans turn up stocked with tyres, a balancer and everything else the job asks for, usually inside 90–120 minutes, and the work happens wherever the vehicle has come to rest — verge, farmyard, staff car park or your own drive.

Hereford, the Outlying Villages and Everything Between
We cover the whole city — High Town and the centre, Belmont, Whitecross, Tupsley, Hunderton, Holmer, Bobblestock and Putson — then keep going past the ring road out to Credenhill, Clehonger, Lugwardine, Burghill and the smaller parishes beyond. Country addresses are routine for us, so don’t assume you’re too far off the beaten track to be worth a call.
If the car can’t be driven we treat it as urgent and get someone moving immediately. If it’s simply a set that’s past its best, pick a time that suits you and we’ll fit around it — during the school day, while you’re at the desk, or on a Saturday morning. The price is settled on the phone before anybody sets off, so there’s nothing to debate once the job’s done. If you’re commuting outside the county, have a look at where else we travel.
Our Mobile Tyre Service Includes
Emergency Mobile Tyre Fitting
Tyres pick their moment badly — the A49 dual carriageway, a blind lane with nowhere to pull in, the far side of the Wye long after closing time. Our roadside emergency team takes those calls around the clock and sets off with the right size already loaded. The failed tyre is swapped where your vehicle stands, so you're moving again instead of counting the hours beside a recovery truck.
Mobile Tyre Replacement
Wear bars showing through, rubber gone hard and perished, or sidewall damage that writes the tyre off for good? We'll bring a like-for-like replacement, or something a step up if you fancy the upgrade. Every wheel comes off and goes back on balanced and fitted with a fresh valve, with each nut torqued to the figure your manufacturer specifies before the keys come back to you.
Same Day Mobile Tyre Fitting
There's little sense driving round Hereford on something you already know is finished. Ring in the morning and we can usually get you sorted today — meeting you at work in Rotherwas, or catching you at home once the school run's out of the way. If the diary is genuinely full we'll say so rather than string you along, and put you first in line tomorrow.
Home/Work Mobile Tyre Fitting
Nobody's idea of a good morning involves a waiting room and a stack of old magazines. Go for fitting on your own drive instead and the whole job happens outside while you carry on with whatever you were doing. All we need is access to the vehicle and the locking wheel nut key — you don't even have to come out.
No Such Thing as a Convenient Blowout
Tyres don’t check the clock before they fail. A good many Hereford callouts land well after the last place on the A49 has pulled the shutters down, or early on a Sunday when the roads are empty and so is every forecourt. We answer at any hour, and Sunday mornings included means exactly that — same service, same price, no weekend loading.
Tell us where you’ve stopped, what you’re driving and what’s gone wrong. A fitter loads the matching tyre and comes directly to you. Once it’s on we’ll run an eye over the other three, set every pressure properly and take the old tyre away with us, so you’re left with nothing to deal with afterwards.
What Herefordshire Roads Do to a Set of Tyres
Anyone who drives this county regularly knows the score. Narrow lanes with a hard edge waiting where the tarmac gives out, potholes that open up after every hard winter, and mud and loose stone dragged onto the road by farm traffic through the busy months. Between them they’re harder on tyres than motorway miles will ever be.
The damage usually shows itself long before a tyre actually lets go, so it pays to know what you’re looking at:
- Scuffing and scrape marks along the outer sidewall from kerbs and verges
- Small cuts or nicks picked up from flint and loose chippings
- A bulge or swelling that appears after a heavy pothole strike
- Tread wearing away unevenly across the width, usually an alignment sign
- A pull to one side, or a shudder that arrives at a particular speed
- Tread closing on the 1.6mm legal minimum, with wet grip fading well before that
Any of it ringing true? Give us a ring and we’ll bring replacements out to you. There are value-priced options on the van alongside the premium brands, and if you’d rather not lose the rest of today we can book you first thing tomorrow.

Five Steps From Phone Call to Fitted
Step 1
Tell us the registration or tyre size, and exactly where the vehicle is sitting.
Step 2
We check what's in stock and quote you one all-in price.
Step 3
A fitter loads the right tyres and sets off to your location.
Step 4
Wheel off, new tyre on, balanced and torqued as it should be.
Step 5
Pressures checked, old tyre taken away, and you're back on your way.
Trade, Farm and Fleet Work Across Herefordshire
A van sitting on the drive isn’t earning, and neither is a pickup stranded at the top of a track. We do a steady amount of work for tradespeople, delivery drivers, farm businesses and small fleets based around Hereford, Rotherwas and the surrounding parishes — and coming out to you almost always costs less in lost hours than sending somebody into the city and back.
Let us know the sizes your vehicles run on and we’ll bear them in mind for next time. Several vehicles can be worked through in one visit rather than booked in one at a time, and business accounts can be invoiced instead of settled at the gate. If you’d sooner plan replacements in advance than wait for something to strand a driver, drop us a line and we’ll put a sensible schedule together.

Hereford Mobile Tyre Fitting – Common Questions
Yes — a fair chunk of our week is spent down lanes and up farm tracks. As long as the van can physically reach the vehicle and there’s room to work safely alongside it, distance from the city isn’t an issue. If the access is tight or the surface is rough, mention it on the call so the fitter knows what he’s arriving to.
Not much at all. Emergencies are handled as they come in, and for planned work most people ring the same morning or the day before. Booking a couple of days ahead simply gives you a wider choice of slots, which helps if you need a specific window around work.
We’re set up to supply and fit as a single job — that’s how the pricing works and how we’re able to stand behind the tyre afterwards. If you’ve already bought a set elsewhere, ring and explain the situation and we’ll be straight with you about whether it’s something we can help with.
That’s increasingly common and makes no difference to us. We’re not fitting your spare, we’re bringing a new tyre for the wheel that’s failed. Plenty of newer cars leave the factory with nothing but a sealant canister in the boot, and those drivers make up a good share of our callouts.
No. Coming to you is the service, not an extra bolted onto it. The figure you’re quoted covers the tyre, the fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of the old one, and it doesn’t creep up because you happen to be a few miles outside Hereford.
We carry a broad spread — recognised budget makes, solid mid-range names, and the premium brands most drivers would name off the top of their head. Tell us what matters most, whether that’s outright grip, quiet running, wet-weather performance or simply keeping the cost sensible, and we’ll suggest something suitable rather than steering you at the dearest option.
A single tyre is usually finished within half an hour of the fitter pulling up. A full set naturally takes longer, though you’d still be looking at roughly an hour in most cases. Nothing about the process needs your car up on a ramp.
If the tyre is flat or the sidewall is damaged, no — carrying on risks the wheel itself and puts you in danger too. Stop somewhere safe, and if you’re on a fast road get everyone out and well away from the traffic while you wait. If the tyre is merely worn rather than damaged, short low-speed journeys are generally fine, but don’t set off on a long run.
We do. Beyond the county our vans regularly cover Worcester, Cheltenham and Kidderminster, along with a lot of the towns and villages sitting on the routes between them. If you’re somewhere along that stretch, ring with your postcode and we’ll confirm straight away whether we can reach you.
