Mobile Tyre Fitting Newton Abbot – 24/7 Roadside, Home and Workplace Callouts
A flat tyre is never convenient. It turns up on the school run, on the way to a shift at Heathfield, or at the one stretch of the A380 where there is nowhere sensible to pull in.
What happens next is straightforward: the fitter comes to the vehicle. Tyres, jack, torque wrench and balancer all travel in the van, and most Newton Abbot drivers are moving again within 90–120 minutes of picking up the phone. Nothing needs recovering and no garage appointment needs working around. Anything urgent goes out as an emergency roadside call-out before the call has finished.

Tyre Fitters Who Come to You Across Newton Abbot and Teignbridge
Coverage from The Mobile Tyre Fitter runs across the whole of Teignbridge.
Kingsteignton, Kingskerswell, Abbotskerswell, Ogwell, Highweek and Milber are everyday territory for our fitters. The vans push out to Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh, Ipplepen and the lanes past Denbury without it being treated as a special trip. Ring after a blowout and the response is immediate. Book ahead instead and we work around your shift rather than the other way round.
Cars, vans, light commercials, 4×4 and SUV wheels are all handled where they sit, with calibrated balancing kit on board rather than a guess and a spare. The price is settled on the phone and no hidden extras appear afterwards. When a garage visit is never realistically going to happen, having the work done on your own driveway is the easiest option there is.
Our Mobile Tyre Service Includes
Emergency Mobile Tyre Fitting
Half eleven at night, climbing Haldon on the A38, and something lets go. It is the sort of moment where a spare in the boot is not much comfort and the hard shoulder is the last place anyone wants to spend an hour. Our emergency callouts run right through the night. A van is loaded and moving as soon as we have your location and tyre size. The 24-hour emergency tyre replacement is finished at the kerbside, balanced properly, and you carry on.
Mobile Tyre Replacement
Worn tread, cracked shoulders and a leak that keeps returning all point the same way — changing beats nursing. We arrive at your Newton Abbot address with the correct size on board, quote budget through to premium before setting off, work with a rapid turnaround and take the old casing away for recycling.
Same Day Mobile Tyre Fitting
You give us the size stamped on the sidewall. We confirm stock, agree a window, and reach you before closing time — your street, a workplace car park, or somewhere out on an industrial estate. Nobody should wait a fortnight for a garage slot on a wheel they have already stopped trusting, which is why most jobs are booked in for the same day.
Home/Work Mobile Tyre Fitting
Park up. Carry on with the day. Come back to a vehicle that is ready to drive. Whether the car is outside the house in Milber or sitting at Brunel Industrial Estate until five, the wheels come off, the new rubber goes on, everything is balanced and torqued to the manufacturer's figure, and the keys come back finished.
Round-the-Clock Emergency Tyre Callouts in Newton Abbot
Our fitters run the A380 and A38 corridors most days of the week, know the lanes past Denbury and Ipplepen well enough to manage without a satnav, and will take a motorway shout further north on the M5 when a customer is caught out away from home. The line is staffed 24/7. Sunday is not a reduced service, so Sunday call-outs carry the same priority as a Tuesday morning booking, and bank holidays are treated no differently.
Wherever the vehicle stopped, that is where the work gets done.

Reading the Numbers on Your Tyre Before You Ring
Everything needed to quote you is already printed on the tyre being replaced. A code such as 205/55 R16 91V breaks down like this:
- 205 – width of the tyre in millimetres
- 55 – sidewall height as a percentage of that width
- R16 – radial construction on a 16 inch wheel
- 91 – load index, or the weight each corner can carry
- V – speed rating, which is what counts at motorway speeds
- A four digit DOT code giving the week and year of manufacture
Load index and speed rating are not optional extras on vans and light commercials, where fitting something underrated can invalidate cover. Numbers worn away, or would you rather not crouch on the pavement in the rain? Give us the registration instead. Where the car can safely sit overnight, a slot the following day tends to be the calmest way to sort it.

Why Devon Roads Are Harder on Tyres Than Most
Tyres age differently down here. Steep descents off Haldon and Telegraph Hill push heat through the shoulders in a way flat commuting never does, while long runs on the A380 quietly wear the inner edges on cars that are otherwise well looked after.
Then there are the lanes. Passing places, tight town centre parking and pothole-edged verges account for most of the kerbing damage and sidewall splits we get called out to, and the damage often stays invisible until somebody kneels down and looks properly.
Damp air and road salt near the estuary do the slow work, cracking rubber on second cars that only cover a few miles a month. If the steering shakes rather than the tyre losing air, the answer is frequently just balancing and valve work and we will say so rather than sell you a tyre you do not need. Every visit covers the fitting, the balancing, a fresh valve, correct torque settings and disposal of the old tyre, with no hidden fees at the end.

Your Newton Abbot Tyre Questions, Answered
Cars, vans, light commercials, 4×4 and SUV wheels, which accounts for almost everything on Teignbridge roads. Read the size off the sidewall when you ring and we will confirm the tyre is on the van before anyone sets off.
Anything urgent becomes a priority run. Most drivers are moving again inside 90–120 minutes, although where you have stopped and what the A380 is doing at that hour both make a difference. You will hear from us while the fitter is travelling rather than being left guessing.
Yes — the line is staffed 24/7, so a one o’clock flat on the A38 gets the same immediate attention as a booking made over breakfast.
That is one of our most common jobs. Leave the vehicle somewhere the van can pull alongside, whether that is a staff car park or an industrial estate, and the tyre is changed while you stay at your desk.
Well past the town boundary. Kingsteignton, Abbotskerswell, Ogwell, Ipplepen, Denbury and Teigngrace are all routine for us, and the vans go further out when it makes sense. Our service areas page sets out the wider coverage if you are unsure.
Almost nobody does. Read us the numbers on the tyre you already have, or simply give us the registration, and we will match the size, load index and speed rating for you.
No. The tyre, the fitting and the call-out are agreed before the van leaves, so there are no hidden charges appearing on the invoice afterwards.
Only if you want to be. Provided we can reach the vehicle and the locking wheel nut key is in the glovebox, carry on with your day and we will let you know the moment it is finished.
