Mobile Tyre Fitting Trowbridge – We Come to You, Wherever the Car Is

Anyone who drives the A350 knows how quickly it backs up at Yarnbrook, and how few places there are to stop safely if something goes wrong. Losing a tyre there — or on the A361, or down one of the lanes towards Steeple Ashton — leaves you with no good options. Which is why we bring the fitting to the vehicle. Tyres, balancer and full kit on board, usually with you inside 90–120 minutes, and the job finished exactly where the car is standing.

Across Town and Out Through the Villages

Across Town and Out Through the Villages

We cover Trowbridge itself — the town centre, Studley Green, Hilperton, Staverton, Trowle Common and Southwick — and keep going out to North Bradley, West Ashton, Yarnbrook, Semington, Holt and the villages beyond. Bradford-on-Avon, Westbury and Melksham are all comfortably within reach, and the working sites see us often: White Horse Business Park, Canal Road and the Bradley Road units most of all.

Car not safe to drive? That counts as urgent and a fitter is dispatched immediately. Just overdue a change instead? Choose a time that genuinely works — during a shift at the business park, at home in Hilperton while you’re in anyway, or Saturday morning before the day gets going. Whichever it is, the price is fixed on the call before anybody sets off. Driving further afield for work? Here’s the wider area we serve.

Our Mobile Tyre Service Includes

Emergency Mobile Tyre Fitting

Some stretches around here are genuinely poor places to break down — the A350 dual sections, the A361 towards Devizes, unlit lanes after dark. Our mobile tyre fitter answers at any hour and sets off with the correct size already aboard. Get out of the vehicle on the side away from traffic and wait somewhere safe; the car can look after itself until we arrive.

Mobile Tyre Replacement

Worn down to the bars, perished from age, or a sidewall that's met a kerb and won't recover? The replacement comes to you. Every wheel goes back balanced and fitted with a new valve, then torqued to the manufacturer's figure with a proper wrench — because an over-tightened nut is a problem you only discover at the worst possible moment.

Same Day Mobile Tyre Fitting

Noticed something looked wrong this morning? Ring early and there's a strong chance we can sort it before the day is out, at the house, the yard or wherever the car has ended up. If the diary truly won't stretch, you'll be told straight rather than left waiting on a call that isn't coming, and we'll hold you first thing tomorrow.

Home/Work Mobile Tyre Fitting

Losing half a day to a waiting room helps nobody. Go for fitting at home or at work and it happens outside while your day continues uninterrupted. Leave the keys and the locking wheel nut adaptor where we can reach them and the car will be finished and back exactly where you left it.

Open When Everywhere Else Isn't

Open When Everywhere Else Isn't

A good share of our Trowbridge callouts land outside anything resembling normal hours — early starts heading for Bath or Bristol, late finishes coming back off the A36, Sunday mornings when the town is still asleep. Someone answers the phone whatever the hour, and weekend callouts are handled exactly like a weekday, with no surcharge for it being a Saturday.

Tell us where you’ve stopped, what you’re driving and what’s happened. The right tyre is loaded and a fitter comes directly out. Once it’s on we’ll check over the other three, set all four pressures properly and take the old tyre away for recycling, leaving you with nothing to sort out afterwards.

Check Your Own Tread in Under a Minute

You don’t need a gauge or any real knowledge to work out whether a tyre is close to done. A 20p coin does the job, and it takes about as long as filling a kettle.

How it works: slot a 20p into one of the main tread grooves. If the outer band around the edge of the coin disappears completely, you’ve got a reasonable amount of tread left. If that band stays visible, you’re close to — or already at — the 1.6mm legal minimum and the tyre needs looking at properly.

Doing it properly takes a few extra seconds:

That last point catches people out every autumn. Pressure falls as temperatures drop, and an underinflated tyre wears its shoulders away and uses more fuel doing it.

If the coin test says you’re borderline, don’t put it off — there are keener-priced sets on the van as well as premium brands.

What's Actually In the Price

The most common question we’re asked isn’t about tyres at all. It’s some version of “is that the real price, or the price before everything gets added?” — usually from someone who’s been caught out before. So here’s exactly what the figure quoted on the phone covers.

Included as standard, every time:

What can change it: only things we’d flag before starting. A seized or rounded wheel nut needing extraction. A wheel that turns out to be damaged rather than just the tyre. A vehicle that can’t be jacked safely where it’s parked and has to be moved first. None of those are common, and none of them get decided without speaking to you.

What we don’t do: no callout fee, no evening or weekend loading, no disposal charge bolted on at the end. If you’d rather go through it properly before committing, have a word with the team — and if today’s no good, we’ll hold you a slot for tomorrow.

What Trowbridge Drivers Tell Us

Trowbridge Mobile Tyre Fitting – Common Questions

Yes, and it’s a growing part of the work. Electric cars are noticeably heavier than the petrol equivalent and put more through their tyres, so load rating matters more than people expect — fitting something underrated is a genuine safety issue rather than a technicality. Give us the registration and we’ll make sure what goes on is correctly specified for the vehicle.

Regularly — workplace fittings are some of our most popular bookings. Give us the unit number and the estate name when you ring, and let reception know we’re expected if the site has a barrier. The fitter works alongside the vehicle in the car park while you carry on with your shift.

No, not without a conversation first. The quote covers the tyre, callout, fitting, balancing, valve, disposal and VAT. The only things that could alter it are a seized nut, a damaged wheel or a vehicle that can’t be jacked safely where it’s parked — and in every one of those cases you’d be told before any work started.

Not at the roadside, no. Alignment needs a fixed rig and a level surface to be worth anything, so it isn’t something that can be done properly from a van. What we will do is tell you if the wear pattern on your old tyres suggests it needs looking at — uneven shoulders are usually the giveaway — so you can book it locally before your new tyres wear the same way.

We don’t. New only, across every price bracket from budget to premium. Part-worns are legal to sell but the history behind them is impossible to verify, and there’s no way of knowing what a tyre has been through before it reaches you. If cost is the concern, our budget range is a better answer.

Our fitters carry extraction tools and it’s a situation they deal with fairly often, particularly on older vehicles or anything that’s spent winters on salted roads. Occasionally one simply won’t come out at the roadside, and if that happens you’ll be told plainly what your options are rather than being charged for a job we couldn’t finish.

Usually, yes. What matters is firm level ground and roughly a car’s width of clear space beside the vehicle to work in safely. If you’re in a permit bay or a shared block with restrictions, worth checking with the managing agent — and mention it when booking so the fitter knows what he’s arriving to.

We can. All-season tyres suit a lot of drivers around here, particularly if you’re regularly on the lanes or heading over the Plain in winter, and they save the storage headache of a second set. Tell us how and where you drive and we’ll talk through whether they’re worth it for you, rather than pushing them either way.

We’re across this part of Wiltshire and into Somerset daily. Our fitters work throughout Bath, up to Chippenham and over towards Bristol, along with the villages sitting on the routes between them. Ring with your postcode and we’ll confirm straight away whether we can get to you.
